Psychotherapy

My name is Stephanie Erickson and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I earned a Master’s in Social Work from Cal State University of Long Beach and earned my clinical license in 1998. Throughout my 28 years of practice, I have worked with individuals of all ages - from 4 years old until 102! I love guiding and supporting individuals as they navigate through, and beyond, life's challenges.

I help clients look at what influences their relationships, thought patterns, behaviors and choices, and how to use this insight to identify, communicate, and create the life they desire. In addition, as a Certified Alzheimer's Disease and Treatment specialist, I can coach and support families as they navigate the challenges of supporting a family member through Dementia and other issues related to aging and caregiving.

I help my clients work through their current challenges which may include:
  • Relationship stress
  • Job stress
  • Parenting difficulties
  • Marital conflict
  • Family conflict
  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Trauma
  • Grief & Loss
  • Caregiving
  • Aging, Dementia

I blend a variety of therapeutic approaches based on each individual's needs and goals, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Family Systems Theory, Positive Psychology, Humanistic Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy. I also deliver Trauma-Informed therapy.

Clients can expect to feel heard and understood. They will gain a deeper understanding of themselves and how their thoughts and choices impact their perception of their circumstances and the choices they make. This will empower clients to make changes that will lead to increased happiness and peace.
